LED power supply for advanced DALI-2 and D4i systems
This LED power supply from the Tridonic essence D4i NFC outdoor series sets a new standard for smart outdoor lighting. It combines DALI-2 dimming, full D4i compliance and an integrated DALI bus power supply. One compact unit feeds the LED module and connected sensors or communication devices on the luminaire.
The power supply delivers high efficiency up to 91.5% and a power factor up to 0.98. These parameters help reduce system losses and improve energy performance of the installation. IP20 protection makes it suitable for integration inside sealed outdoor housings with appropriate ingress protection.
LED power supply with NFC programming, chronoSTEP and CLO
The unit is fully programmable via NFC and DALI. Parameters can be configured using companionSUITE or masterCONFIGURATOR tools. Cabinet programming through u6Me2 is also available for chronoSTEP timing without direct data access. NFC allows wireless setup and reconfiguration, even when the luminaire is not powered.
The built in chronoSTEP function enables adaptive night time dimming profiles. The power supply automatically calculates virtual midnight from recent switching times. Constant Light Output (CLO) compensates LED lumen depreciation over lifetime. This keeps street or area lighting levels stable while avoiding overdimensioning at the start.

The wide operating window from 200 to 1050 mA and up to 77 V output supports many LED module combinations.
